Description
Fear of the shadows...of the unknown...Tech stuff, i used pencil and white conte pastel. Took a photo of my hand for the reference. You might notice some flaws, that's just when the detail devil in me came out and I lost focus on the drawing as a whole. I hate it when that happens..

you are really great with eyes you know that?

You have presented the intended emotion well, and the pose of the hand is great.
I would have liked to see you push the contrasts (darker darks especially) to help give it even more of an eery mood.
I like your hatching technique, maybe try to get it to suggest the form even more in the shadows next time. Kudos!

Crow & DoomsHd: Thank you!!
lollipox: thanks, but he/she/it can really get in the way. lol
KittyKat: Thanks much! i've always concentrate on the eyes the most. Actually it's what i start to work with in every one of my paintings/drawings. Btw, congrats on the gold icon, much derserved!!
DigitalDust: Thank you, i tried hard to get that. I totally agree with you with the contrast. It was actually much lighter, and i darkened the shadow side, but then I couldn't let go of the details i've put on that side or else it'd be completely black, with just the glint of light on her right eye. It would be more emotional, i'll have to rethink that. I've seen cross-hatching that follows the contours of the surfaces, looks kinda hard, so i've got to try that. Thanks again!
Thanks everyone!
wow, i've been talking a lot lately...LOL
