Oh Goodie, I get to be the first to comment!!! Thienbao, this is absolutely luscious. I adore the way you did the hair, and those wings are awesome, it is a very interesting approach. If I were forced to find something wrong with this, the only slight flaw I can see is the upper lip of the 'light' woman, it appears a little big/over-extended. Her hands, though are wonderfully done, great detail. You should be very proud of yourself, and I should be very, very jealous. Max points. Damon

noma is rihgt..great hands! beautiful light on the dark figure on the right, coming from the fire.. if I had to find a crit..and it is ever so slight....some of the curves in the hair are slighty awkward,..its almost insignifigant.. great clouds

Consider adding more space to the left; the left figure is practically "against the wall". It is always a risk with such compositions, because the eye leads tend to go out from the sides - you want to tone that down as much as you can, not emphasize that. Some other ways to do it (in this case) might be pulling more focus to the intertwined wings in the middle, adding much more space all around and on the top so the group works as a unit instead of filling the space, or adding some encircling element around it. Or all of these together. I think there are some proportional issues with the figure on the left; the arms may be too small, or the lower body too heavy for these arms, not sure which feature you meant to be more prominent. The left figure color works OK; but the right one borders on being monochromatic. Make it pearly like the left one, or warmer, but not this uniform milk-and-coffee hue. Just a thought. This has potential despite the problems, though. More important, the problems are mostly not irreversible. You could pull it off yet.

I've must have view this 5 times now and while showing to a friend I realized I never commented!! I think it's a very eye pleasing piece, I imagine the lack of color in the figure on the right was to increast the contrast on the left figure. My only crit is that the bands/cloth at the bottom don't seem to have much weight to them...perhaps increase the shadows some more. +9

Keiii: at first i didn't know who Fujishima Kyosuke was when you said it (i suck at names), but yeah he(assuming) was a huge inspiration for the hair. I didn't have a problem wiht the elaborate curls/curves..they are fantastic..by awkward i meant some of the curves don't seem as smooth and as rounded as they could be.. but I am splitting hairs here and nitpicking.. excited to see what you can do with a tablet with pressure sensitivity!!

Much appreciated! exitium2000: i got what you mean now and i think some of the curves are that way because i inked this picture by hand and i haven't done that for a long time so i had to get used to it during the process. call-me-Hk: usually i don't keep track of time when i'm doing an artwork, but in this case i think it was about a month, cause i started this at the beginning of winter break (we got a month off). however, i did take some time off though, to work on the painting "Leaf". i guess that's about it, and thank you! yet again.

You already know its amazing... because it is, but what I've noticed is the angle the two are leaving one another, it really would have made me happy if you lifted the lighter girl up I'd say (coming from the pictures stand point) a foot or two. it seems like the dark one is drifting lower than the light girl is gaining heighth. I did a study on ribbon before I know how hard it is, this is impressive, and most likly full of headaches. Max points,
