Nice details...but it looks like that face pasted on that body and neck....her shoulder and that neck looks odd to me. maybe the face is big compared to her body..and her lips looks bit shifted ...hope u dont mind about these crits.
i know its not THAT easy to draw without ref.

in addition to what he said, i'd mention that the part of the chest/shoulders looks pretty flat. the ear has an alignment of an sideview which does not fit to the head

As most of you might've noticed, there's some flatness with the lace and her neck, a part that didn't turn out as well as i would've hoped. Found out the hard way that drawing laces is hard, white lace on white ground is harder it seems. This is something i'm really trying to get down ever since "Blond", but it'll be fun getting there i'm sure. Oh, about the ear, yeah, i tend to do that a lot. It looked okay in the sketch, damn it!! haha.

Fretty: hmm...let me think, how bout you take one of those great selfportraits of yours and i'll see if I can get something done from it. I should have some time now that break has started. How bout a photo with interesting lighting and angle, but still show your face, something i'm sure shouldn't be much of a problem.

wow! I just love the way I can see one of your images and know right away who made it. You have a unique style that is very evident with the way you render certain features (eyes/mouth) I've just recently begun to play with graphite and charcoal......its not easy. Much RESPECT!

I am not certain, but shouldn't we see her face a bit more from the right, since the head's angle is slightly turned away from us? It feels to me like I am seeing her face too much from the front. Also, her right shoulder is way out of place compared to the other shoulder and her neck. If I am not mistaken, it should be fastened furhter up.
Now, over to the good parts. I really like the detailed ornament on her ear, and the way in general that you frew her face. Beautiful eyes and lips. You never fail to make personalities through their expressions.

Jane, thanks very much for the helpful crits. Some of those things i've noticed, like the shoulder thing, and i'm gonna fix that up a bit. Face angle is a bit off, something i couldn't quite see or maybe i had and just ignored it. Thanks.

Meagan, very cool, charcoal takes a while of getting use to, but what i found helpful with them is that start out light and get darker if you're going for a smooth transition.

Enialadam, thanks a lot. Actually that was more of a sketch/study of light and hair, so i'm glad you like the lighting. Don't know if i should post it seperately, but who knows, maybe later.

oh, the lips, just something i did for about five minutes of boredom, and surprisingly i like it a lot, so that's why it there. Actually, it prompted me to create a lip tutorial, not quite done though. Shh, it's a secret
